Timo was a member of the German national team, which was runner-up at UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship in 2012. Before the current season he did very well in the preseason and thanks to this VfB coach Bruno Labbadia decided to give the young player a chance to debut in the first team . This took place in Europa League Qualification match against Botev Plovdiv, in which he played just over 20 minutes. Thanks to this he became the youngest ever player to make a debut in “Die Roten” team. In the Bundesliga he played his first match with Bayer Leverkusen, and as early as the fourth round he made two assists in a game against Hoffenheim won by VfB 6-2. Everybody in Stuttgart are hoping that he will follow in footsteps of other famous VfB graduates such as Mario Gomez or Serdar Tasci.
