Liga I 2013/2014 (ongoing): 12 matches/4 goals (Dinamo Bucuresti)

Dorin made his debut in Liga I at Dinamo Bucuresti, where he was on loan from ACS Poli Timisoara in September 2012. Poli’s manager, Valentin Velcea wanted to keep the player, but Rotariu wanted to make a big step forward and decided to join Dinamo where he could play alongside many teammates from the national U-19 squad. His first game in Liga I was played in March 2013, against Concordia Chiajna. He was only 17 years and eight months old at that time. During the current season he became a first team regular and a real star of “The Red Dogs”. He already scored 4 goals, including one against Steaua in famous Romanian “Eternal Derby”. He is part of Romania U-19 squad, but already made his debut for the U-21 national team in August 2013, in a friendly game against Cyprus.

“I like Dorin Rotariu, he is extremely talented, but Dinamo have to take care of his appropriate development.”

(Victor Piturca – manager of the Romanian national team)
