League summary:
Premium Liiga 2013: 23 matches/5 goals (Flora Tallinn)
Description:
Football is one of the most popular sports in Estonia, although no minor honour has been achieved. Their “hall of fame” isn’t impressive too, but there are few Estonian players that are recognizable by fans from all around the world, such as Andres Oper, Mart Poom, Raio Piiroja, Joel Lindpere or Ragnar Klavan. Flora’s Rauno Sappinen is a talented youngster who is able to reach their level and join them in the future. He made his first-team debut on 2nd March 2013 in a league fixture against Tallinna Kalev at just 17 years of age. He quickly won a place in the starting XI and ended his first Premium Liiga season with 23 matches and 5 goals scored which is obviously a great result for such a young footballer. He represented Estonia national teams on U-16 and U-17 levels. Now, he is one of the youngest members of “Blueshirts” U-21 team.
