Description:
Linus Wahlqvist started playing football in a small club Eneby BK. In 2009 he joined one of the best teams in Sweden – IFK Norrkoping. In 2013 he was chosen as “the best young player” by Östergötland Football Association – one of the 24 district organisations of the Swedish Football Association. He made his Allsvenskan debut on 6th April 2014 against Helsingborgs IF – he came off the bench in the 88th minute replacing Nikola Tkalcic. He was a leader of Swedish defensive line at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates where his country won a bronze medal – Linus played in every single game and was even chosen for the All-Star team of the tournament. Currently, he is a part of Sweden U-19 team.
