Description:
Amer Gojak is regarded as the biggest talent in Bosnia and Herzegovina since Edin Dzeko. He comes from FK Zeljeznicar Sarajevo’s youth team, but despite interest from top European clubs such as Manchester City, Chelsea, PSV Einhoven, Ajax Amsterdam, he decided to continue his development at Olimpic Satrajevo. He made his senior debut in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1th March 2014 in a game between FK Olimpic and FK Velez Mostar – he substituted Sulejman Smajic after 78 minutes in a 0-1 home defeat. Two weeks later he scored his first professional goal against Rudar Prijedor. He captained Bosnia U-17 side in the recent elite qualifying round and managed three goals, including a brace against a highly rated Belgian side.
Quotes:
“Arguable the biggest talent in Bosnia since Edin Dzeko, Gojak bursted on to the scene a few years ago as he set several scoring marks while playing in the FK Željezničar youth squads. Amer Gojak is a skillful attacking midfielder who has also been deployed as a centre forward and winger due to his good pace, dribbling ability, aerial prowess and hold up ability.”
