Anastasios Donis comes from a very sport-oriented family. His father Giorgos was a famous footballer – an international of Greece, while his older brother, Christos, is a Panathinaikos player. Anastasios, nicknamed “Tasos”, was born in Blackburn, because his father at the time was playing for Blackburn Rovers. In 2013, he moved from Panathinaikos to Juventus, which paid 100k pounds for him – which seems to be a rather laughable sum for the player of his calibre. He became a star of Primavera in Turin, where he formed a great partnership with Younes Bnou Marzouk in attack. Tasos represents Greece at U-19 level, although he had an option to represent England. He rejected them in favor of Greece.
“Anastasios Donis has great talent, quick feet and an eye for goal. Definitely a cut above the normal at his present level (U19), all the more special considering he is yet to turn 18.”
