Description:

Lucas Boyé was born in a small town San Gregorio, situated in the province of Santa Fe. He joined River Plate in 2010, at the age of 14. “Los Millonarios” youth academy is very well known for its strikers, such as Javier Saviola, Hernan Crespo, Ariel Ortega, Fernando Cavenaghi, Gonzalo Higuain or Maxi Lopez. In June 2013 Lucas, along with another River Plate wonderkid Sebastian Driussi, won the Under-17 Club World Cup in Madrid. Few months later he has been in unstoppable form during prestigious Dallas Cup – he scored a brace in the final against USA U-20 and was without a doubt one of the best players of the tournament. He made his official debut for the first-team on 28 July 2014 in Copa Argentina fixture against Ferro Carril Oeste. Two weeks later he made his first Primera Division appearance – he was in the starting line up against Gimnasia La Plata and was substituted after 60 minutes by River superstar Teófilo Gutiérrez.
