Edvinas Baniulis is regarded as one of most promising young footballers in Lithuania. He is a product of Zalgiris Vilnius youth academy – probably the best academy in country. He made his professional debut on 4 August 2013 in a league fixture against Tauras Taurage, in which he replaced Paulius Janusauskas in the 82nd minute. On 28th July 2014 he went on a 10-day trial with Italian giants Lazio. He is a U-19 Lithuanian international, which also features highly talented players like Daniel Romanovskij, Tomas Dombrauskis or Donatas Segzda.
Quotes:
“Perhaps the most interesting propsect to be linked with Lazio is Lithuanian striker, Edvinas Baniulis. The 17 year-old is already a champion in Lithuania having just won the league with Zalgiris, featuring for 91 minutes during the league campaign, and finding the back of the net on one occasion.”
