League summary:
Serie A 2014/2015: 7 matches/0 goals (AS Roma)
Description:
Daniele Verde is a product of famous AS Roma youth system. He made his senior debut on 17 January 2015 in the Serie A fixture against Palermo, replacing Juan Manuel Iturbe after 75 minutes of a 1–1 away draw. On 8 February 2015 he starred on his first start for Roma, playing 90 minutes as they won 2-1 away at Cagliari, with Verde assisting both of Giallorossi’s goals, for Adem Ljajić and Leandro Paredes. Some ASR fans see him already as the Roma’s next home-grown icon, but Daniele has an awful lot of hard work ahead of him if he is to fulfil that ambition and follow the footsteps of Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi and Alessandro Florenzi.
Quotes:
“Garcia and his squad know how to manage him. He can improve day by day. Football is a story of sacrifice and Daniele knows this. He knows that the road is long.”
(Bruno Conti – head of AS Roma youth sector)
