Description:
Austrian youth football is on the rise. A lot of talents from 1996/1997/1998 generations are emerging – the best examples are Sascha Horvath, Sandi Lovric, Dominik Prokop, Valentino Lazaro and Marko Kvasina. Konrad Laimer is another exciting talent and a name to remember. He joined Red Bull Salzburg youth academy in 2007 from a tiny club USC Abersee. He made his professional debut with FC Liefering, Salzburg’s feeder club, on 2 May 2014 against SV Horn. Four months later, on 28 September 2014, he made his official debut for “Die Roten Bullen” in a league fixture against Rapid Wien. He has been a youth Austria international for many years and represented his country at 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and FIFA U-20 World Cup 2015.
