Description:
Adham El Idrissi started his footballing career at a small club Zeeburgia, but soon, in 2005/06 season as an 8-year old joined the famous Ajax Amsterdam academy. He is a really versatile player – he can play at basically every position in attack. Some fans even dare to liken him to Luis Suarez. He was one of the key players of Ajax’s UEFA Youth League campaign in 2014/15 season, where the young “Joden” advanced from a very tough group against PSG and Barcelona, but got knocked out in the round of 16 in the penalty shootout against AS Roma. Adham was born in Amsterdam, currently represents Oranje at U-18 level, but it cannot be ruled out that he will play for his parent’s country in the future, Morocco.
Quotes:
“He’s earned this contract. Adham is a real fighter. He draws the other players in the team out. He doesn’t need any batteries, he just keeps fighting for the team.”
(Wim Jonk – head of Ajax’s youth development after signing first professional contract with El Idrissi)
