Description:
Aidan Nesbitt is a Celtic homegrown product. Currently, he is one of the most exciting players who are slowly breaking into the first team. He has been a star of the youth teams for a few years. The real proof of his talent was the Scottish Youth Cup final, where he scored a hattrick which was the main cause of the spectacular win over Rangers. He made his first team debut on 23 September 2015 in a League Cup match against Raith Rovers, in which he came on in the 89th minute. He is also a regular youth international – he played at the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where Scots managed to get to the semifinal, but failed against Holland. Currently he plays for the U-19 national team.
Quotes:
“Yet with Forrest, Kris Commons, Stefan Johansen, Stuart Armstrong and Gary Mackay-Steven all vying for roles in Deila’s attacking midfield trio, it may be hard for Nesbitt to feature right now. Given his recent form, he may just need one chance to show what he can do – and Celtic fans should certainly be excited about Nesbitt’s future at the club.”
