Description:
Georgi Makhatadze was born in Rostov, but joined Lokomotiv Moscow youth academy as a young boy. His parents are from Georgia, but Georgi himself chose to represent Russia. He already played over 50 games for the youth national teams, which is an incredible result for a 18-year old. His first appearance on the international stage came during the 2015 European Under-17 Championship, where as a leader and captain led his young “Sborna” side to the semifinal which they lost to a very strong Germany team. A few months later, he played at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, but Russia lost to Ecuador in the last 16 at that tournament. Currently he is a captain and a leader of Russia U-18 national team
