Description:
Teddy Bergqvist started his adventure with football at local club called Eriksfälts FF. At the age of six, he joined Malmö FF youth academy – known as one of the best in Swedish football. In October 2015 he was promoted to the first team squad and signed a two year contract to keep him at the club until the end of the 2017 season. He has not yet made his debut in the MFF first team, but made the senior matchday squad for the first time on 28 May 2016 as an unused substitute in Malmö’s win over Östersunds FK and it seems to be only a matter of time before he gets his chance. He played at the UEFA European Under-17 Championship 2016 in Azerbaijan, where young Swedes were knocked out at the quarter final stage after a 1-0 defeat against Netherlands.
