Martim Neto comes from a very sporting family – his cousin Pedro is a Wolverhampton player and one of the biggest talents in the Premier League. Martim is considered to be one of the most talented teenagers in the famous Benfica youth academy along with other fantastic prospects such as Cher Ndour, Diego Moreira, Franculino Djú, João Resende, João Neves, Samuel Soares, Hugo Félix, António Silva, Luís Semedo, Nuno Félix, and Tomás Araújo. Martim made his professional debut for Benfica B on 21 March 2021 in the Segunda Liga game against Leixões. During the UEFA Youth League 2021/2022 campaign, he was one of the best players of the competition which Benfica U-19 won in great style – he scored 4 goals (including the fastest-ever final goal) and provided 3 assists in 10 games being the true leader of Benfica’s midfield.
