Gabriel Gheorghe joined the Rapid Bucureşti youth academy from FC Juniorul in 2022. He is considered to be one of the most talented U17s in Romania. He is one of the leaders of an interesting generation of Romanian players born in 2006 which includes, among others, Enes Sali, David Pacuraru, Luca Szimionas, Rares Tomsa, Andrei Dima, Ianis Tarba, Gabriel Gheorghe, Ioan Vermesan, Luca Băsceanu, Rareș Fătu, and Alin Cocoş. Gabriel made his professional debut for Rapid on 18 October 2022 in the Romanian Cup game against CSC Dumbrăviţa.
