Mathis Lambourde joined the superb Stade Rennais youth academy from Jeanne d’Arc de Drancy in 2021. He is one of the leaders of a very interesting generation of French players born in 2006 which includes, among others Warren Zaïre-Emery, Eli Junior Kroupi, Mohamed-Amine Bouchenna, Tidiam Gomis, Saïmon Bouabré, Bastien Meupiyou, Arthur Tchaptchet, Daouda Traoré, and Nhoa Sangui. Mathis made his debut for Rennes’ reserves in the French fourth tier on 12 November 2022 against Vannes OC.
