Lucien Agoume is a product of Sochaux youth academy – one of the most underrated youth academies in France. He made his professional debut on 19 October 2018 in a Ligue 2 fixture against Troyes at the age of only 16. He is a part of a very talented generation of French players born in 2002 wchich includes Georginio Rutter, Theo Zidane, Timothée Pembele, Nianzou Kouassi, Dilane Bakwa, Adil Aouchiche and Junior Kadile.
