Áki Samuelsen joined HB Tórshavn from FC Midtjylland in 2020. He became a star of the reserve team straight away. He made his first-team debut on 6 June 2021 in a league fixture against TB Tvøroyri. This season he already scored 3 goals in 11 league games for HB. Áki is also a regular youth international for Faroe Islands and currently he is a member of the U-21 team despite being only 17.
