He is a product of the Besiktas academy – a very good youth system that produced many talented youngsters in recent years such as Ersin Destanoğlu, Serdar Saatci, Ridvan Yilmaz, Emirhan Ilkhan, Kerem Kalafat, Avtandil Duishoev, Semih Kilicsoy, Berkay Vardar, Emre Bilgin, Demir Ege Tiknaz, Koray Yagci, Azad Demir, and Emirhan Delibas. This season Berkay made his debut for The Eagles reserve team and his professional debut seems to be only a matter of time.
