Agustín Ruberto is a product of the legendary River Plate youth academy. He is considered to be one of the most talented teenage strikers in South America. In 2023, he represented his country and scored 12 goals in 16 games at the South American U-17 Championship and FIFA U-17 World Cup, becoming the top scorer of the latter. He is also one of the leaders of an extremely interesting generation of Argentinian players born in 2006 which includes, among others Gianluca Prestianni, Claudio Echeverri, Juan Villalba, Santiago López, Kevin Gutiérrez, Tobías Palacio, Dylan Gorosito, Alejo Sarco, Valentino Acuña, Ulises Giménez, and Mariano Gerez.
