Description:

Abel Ruiz joined La Masia from Valencia in 2012. Currently he is considered to be one of the pearls of this famous youth academy and Barcelona U-19 star alongside names such as Oriol Busquets, Jordi Mboula, Marc Cucurella and Inaki Pena. In 2016, he played at UEFA European Under-17 Championship, where Spain won silver, and he scored four goals to become the second best scorer of the tournament after José Gomes. Several big teams, especially English ones, have expressed interest in him, however, in June 2016, he signed his first contract with FC Barcelona and it seems like he’ll stay in Catalonia for an extended period of time.
