To improve:
– quite strong for a player of his size and age, but still needs to work to build more muscles/physical strength
– very one-footed/operating with his weaker right foot
– can be slightly nonchalant sometimes and lose the ball in dangerous zones
Style of play:
– attacking full-back/wing-back
– player with a low centre of gravity, superb agility, body balance, changes of pace, and coordination
– fantastic option to play as a left wing-back in 3-5-2
– electric pace and acceleration
– very vertical player, who likes to push forward at every opportunity
– likes to dribble
– likes to vary his play by getting to the byline and delivering accurate crosses, trying early crosses, cutting inside, or even entering the penalty area lurking for a chance to exploit his shooting skills
– comfortable on the ball with an above-average range of passing/does not hesitate to cut inside and move more centrally to combine with midfielders
– decent composure and retention skills under pressure
– excellent dribbling skills and footwork at top speed
– good ability at first touch/high speed in one-two combinations with his teammates
– even though his defensive positioning and general reliability are still improvable, also due to his style of play, he shows some very positive work rate, tenacity, and determination in the defensive phase
– avoids using his weaker right foot
– good indirect set piece taker
Avdić cuts inside, makes an energetic run, and gets fouled.
Avdić dribbles past his man with extreme ease and sends a dangerous cross into the penalty area.
After beating his opponent on the wing, Avdić make quick one-two with his teammate, enters the penalty area, and scores with a good flat shot.
