Bartuğ Elmaz is a product of Galatasaray youth academy. He made his professional debut on 22 December 2020 in the 3-1 Süper Lig win over Göztepe. Currently, he is the leader and one of the biggest stars of the Galata U-19 team. Elmaz is a part of a very interesting generation of Turkish players born in 2003 and 2004 which includes, among others Tuğbey Akgün, Arda Güler, Ömer Faruk Beyaz, Melih Bostan, Eren Güler, Eren Aydin, Emin Bayram, Burak Ince, Ravil Tagir and Emre Demir.
