At the club since he was 7 years old

Daniel Cabral arrived at Flamengo when he was only 7 years old. He comes directly from Futsal, where he stood out for his ball quality. He rose through the ranks over time and won the state championships in U15 and U17. In 2018, after the international tournament in Dubai where he was voted best player of the tournament, he signed his first professional contract with the Rubro-Negro at the age of 16.

Daniel Cabral catches the eye of the Brazilian coaches. He was called up with the Brazilian U15s, where he became vice-champion of South America and vice-world champion. He is now awaiting his first match with the U20s, having played 11 games with the U17s.

Key man of the U20 team

With the Flamengo U20 team, Daniel Cabral is asserting himself as an indispensable element in the midfield. Comfortable in a double-pivot in a 4-2-3-1, he can play in a deep role in 4-3-3, or even evolve as a midfielder. He is a box-to-box midfielder. He doesn’t hesitate to project himself when he has the opportunity. Cabral is a fast player, skillful on the ball, and resistant to pressure. However, it happens that he makes some concentration mistakes sometimes.

Currently, he is playing the final phase of the Campeonato Brasileiro U20 with Flamengo and despite a good activity in the heart of the game, Flamengo lost 2-1 against Vasco da Gama recently.

With the pro team, he appeared on the pitch last August and played a few minutes in the Brazilian Cup against ABC FC. Rumors also indicated that the Liverpool scouts were observing him…
