Player History:

Filip Bundgaard Kristensen, born in Denmark in 2004, began his football journey with Hornbæk SF and Randers  Freja before progressing through the youth academy of Randers FC. Bundgaard made headlines early on, scoring 16  goals in 28 appearances for Randers’ U17 team between 2018 and 2021. He also shone for the U19 side, netting five goals in 15 appearances during the 2020–21 season. 

His professional debut came on 5 July 2020, making him the youngest-ever player for Randers and the second youngest in Danish Superliga history. Bundgaard’s debut was notable for being alongside his brother, Oliver  Bundgaard, in a 3–2 win over Hobro IK. He signed his first professional contract in September 2020, a three-year deal that was later extended until 2026. 

Bundgaard made his European debut in August 2021 during a UEFA Europa League qualifier against Galatasaray.  His impact was felt across various competitions, culminating in a Danish Cup victory in the 2020–21 season where he also became Randers’ youngest goal scorer. 

On 1 February 2024, Bundgaard transferred to Brøndby IF for around 22-25 million Danish kroner (€3.00m), signing a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2028. Bundgaard is the younger brother of Oliver Bundgaard, who also trained at Randers FC’s academy. 

International Career:

Bundgaard has consistently featured for Denmark’s youth teams, beginning with the U16s in 2019. He progressed through the ranks, making his U17 debut in 2020 and scoring his first goal for the U18s in 2022. His international
