Hamza Akman comes from a very sporting family – his father is a former Galatasaray and Turkish national team player, his brother Efe is a star of Galatasaray U-16, and his cousin Ali plays for Eintracht Frankfurt. During the 2021/2022 season, Hamza was one of the leaders of Gala U-19 that won the Turkish Championship and showed a very nice generation of players including the likes of Beknaz Almazbekov, Zeki Saki, Emirhan Kayar, Taha Aydinli, Emir Tintis, Baran Aksaka, Umut Erdem, and Mehmet Aslanboga.
