Henri Välja is a youth product of FC Nõmme United. In 2018 he moved to Paide Linnameeskond. Despite being only 17, he has already played over 40 games in the Meistriliiga – the highest division of the Estonian Football Association annual football championship. Currently, he is also the youngest member of Estonia U-21 team.
