Joe Gelhardt is a product of Wigan Athletic youth academy. He made his professional debut for Wigan on 14 August 2018, appearing as a substitute against Rotherham United in the first round of the EFL Cup. After Wigan’s relegation from the Championship, he signed a four-year contract with Premier League side Leeds United where straight away he became a big star of the U-23 team. He is also a regular English youth international and currently he is a member of England U-19 national team.
