Lucas Román is considered to be one of the most talented players of his generation in Argentina. He has been an absolute star of Ferro Carril Oeste for many years and signed his first contract with the club in 2020 aged only 16. He made his first-team debut for Ferro on 1 March 2022 in the second division game against Quilmes. He scored his first goal the same month – a beautiful strike from long range against Instituto on 29 March.
