Luciano González is a product of the Peñarol academy – a superb youth system that produced many interesting players in recent years such as Federico Valverde, Darwin Núñez, Facundo Torres, Diego Rossi, Agustín Álvarez, Santiago Bueno, Facundo Pellistri, and Brian Rodríguez. Luciano is also a regular youth international for Uruguay. In 2023, he was the main striker for Los Charrúas at the South American U-17 Championship.
