Luka Topalović is a product of the NK Domžale academy – one of the best youth systems in Slovenia which had many interesting players in recent years such as Benjamin Šeško, Mitja Ilenič, Adam Gnezda Čerin, Benjamin Markus, Jan Mlakar, Jon Gorenc Stankovič, and Jan Repas. Luka is considered to be one of the most talented young players in Slovenia. He made his professional debut for Domžale aged 16 years, 2 months, and 22 days on 15 May 2022 in a league fixture against NK Celje.
