Description:

Max Dowman is considered one of the most talented players of his generation in Europe. He is another exciting talent to emerge from Arsenal’s academy in recent years, following in the footsteps of Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi, and Amario Cozier-Duberry. He made his debut for Arsenal’s U18 team in September 2023 at just 13 years old. Despite his young age, he regularly competes and impresses against players up to four years older. In September 2024, he earned his first call-up to the England U-17 team and marked the occasion by scoring on his debut against Mexico.

Quotes:

“He can be more consistent but he’s only 14 and hasn’t even started his GCSEs yet.

We need to find a balance of letting him play and enjoy the game because of his age but also trying to get as much work into him as we can.

Hopefully, we can fast-track him and when he goes over to the first team he’ll be more ready.”

(Jack Wilshere – former English international and the current head coach of the Arsenal under-18 team)
