Oliver Højer is a product of the superb FC København youth academy. He is the son of a former FCK player Lars Højer. He is considered to be one of the most talented players of his generation in Denmark. He is a member of an interesting generation of Danish U18s which includes, among others Tobias Lund Jensen, Jonathan Asp, Oscar Schwartau, Sebastian Biller Mikkelsen, Cornelius Olsson, Tobias Slotsager, Lasse Abildgaard, Christian Jørgensen, Anders Noshe, Jonatan Lindekilde, Hjalte Bidstrup, and Lasse Overgaard.
