Orri Steinn Óskarsson made his debut for ÍF Grótta in the Icelandic second division aged only 13. In 2020, he moved to FC Copenhagen youth academy. He is considered to be the biggest talent of Icelandic football in many years. He was in sensational form during the 2020/2021 season – he scored 39 goals in just 29 games for Copenhagen U-17 and U-19 teams.
