Description:
Phil Foden joined Manchester City youth academy at U9 level. He was just 16 years and 193 days old when Pep Guardiola named him on the bench for Manchester City’s Champions League clash with Celtic on 6 December 2016. Currently, he is one of the biggest stars of a very strong City U-18 team, along with other extremely talented players such as Jadon Sancho, Joel Latibeaudiere, Ian Poveda and Curtis Anderson. He is also a regular player for the English youth national teams and now, he is one of the leaders of England Under-17 squad.
Quotes:
‘If Foden is given that chance to mature and he continues to perform as he is doing at youth level, then he can go a long way in the game as a real crowd pleaser who combines great skill with a good work ethic.’
