Sang-yun Kang is considered to be one of the most talented teenagers in South Korea. He signed a semi-pro contract with Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors at the age of 10. He made his professional debut for Jeonbuk on 5 May 2022 in a league fixture against FC Seoul. He has been a youth South Korean international for many years – starting at U-14 all the way through U-20.
