Tuğbey Akgün is a product of Bursaspor academy – one of the best youth systems in Turkey. He is a part of an extremely interesting generation of Turkish players born in 2003 which includes, among others Ömer Faruk Beyaz, Bartuğ Elmaz, Emin Bayram, Ravil Tagir, Yusuf Barasi, Serdar Saatçı, Eren Güler and Polat Abay. Tuğbey made his professional debut for Bursaspor on 18 October 2020 in a league fixture against Balikesirspor.
