Jordan is born and raised in Melbourne and played junior football for Hoppers Crossing SC.ย

He joined the Melbourne Cityโ€™s Academy in 2016 at the age of 14 and signed his first contract for the club in September 2021. He made his debut 2 months later.ย

From the start of his career to where he is now itโ€™s safe to say he made a name for himself in Australia. He featured in 39 games across all competitions over the course of the last 2 seasons, scoring 2 goals and assisting 3. ย

Some interesting stats:ย

  • Averaging 50 passes per game (89% accurate). ย
  • Averages 5 interceptions and 2 clearances / 90ย
  • 67% of his total actions are successfulย
  • Makes 4 progressive runs / 90ย

Strengths:

He mainly playsย as a left back in a 4-3-3 formation but has the freedom to join the attack occasionally and there lies his absolute quality. Jordan has an interesting profile because he is very quickย and impressive in his tireless rushes up and down the pitch. Massive work rate and technically he is so good as well, never afraid to take on players and usually beats his opponent very easily with acceleration or skill. Because of his pace combined with his athletic bodyย he is also ridiculously hard to get past. Heโ€™s trustworthy and reliable both in attack and defense. Very solid. Wins most of his duels and is tenacious in his pressing and defending. Quiteย strong in intercepting. He isย very mature for his age, well balanced and a composed player. ย

Jordan is also very consistent in his performances. He is usually the most notable or present player on the pitch,ย and he always carries out his tasksย and rarely disappoints. He is the sort of player that puts his head down and works extremely hard andย contributes a lot to the team.ย

Jordan Bos’ Heatmap (Wyscout):

Weaknesses:

He is always using his left foot and should work on his weaker rightย foot as it would make him more complete and more unpredictable. He likes cutting inside as well so an improved right foot would help him make better decisions.ย Tooย enthusiastic at times and drastic in his decision making which leads to mistakes. Bos is still looking to balance out his game in terms of choosing when to attack and when to stay back. In his mind he wants to keep on attacking throughout the whole game.ย His long passing and crossing shouldย get enhanced as well, misses direction sometimes.ย

Future:

For me he has the potential to become a fantastic left back. His versatile profile makes him veryย suitable for multiple leagues in Europe. I think the championship would be a good fit for him at this moment in time for him to grow as a player and person. The championshipย is an incredibly competitive league with a lot of physicality and high pace football which would suit him very well. He is still only 20 years old so itโ€™s important for him not to skip any steps.ย

He can play a roleย in different formations. Now he plays in a back four, but with his physical and running ability he has the right profile to be a left midfielder or a left wing back in a back three or five systems.
