Patryk Olejnik is a product of Lech Poznań academy – one of the best youth systems in Poland which produced many interesting players in recent years such as Karol Linetty, Jan Bednarek, Dawid Kownacki, Robert Gumny, Jakub Kamiński, Kamil Józwiak, Michał Skóraś, Jakub Moder, Filip Marchwiński, and Tymoteusz Puchacz. Patryk is one of the leaders of an interesting generation of Polish players born in 2006 which includes, among others Karol Borys, Jan Faberski, Krzysztof Kolanko, Mikołaj Tudruj, Filip Wolski, Daniel Mikołajewski, Jakub Krzyżanowski, Filip Rejczyk, Oskar Tomczyk, Adam Pieniądz, and Mateusz Skoczylas. Olejnik made his debut for Lech reserves on 16 July 2022 in the Polish third-tier game against Hutnik Kraków.
