Riccardo Sottil is the son of Andrea Sottil, a former professional footballer who played for the likes of Torino, Fiorentina, Genoa, Atalanta, Udinese and Catania. Riccardo is one of the biggest stars of Fiorentina U-19 along with other talented players such as Michele Cerofolini, Petko Hristov, Marco Meli, Marco Meli and Gabriele Gori. He is also a member of Italy U-19 national team.
