Description:
In recent years Valencia’s youth system has produced a number of notable players, such as Juan Bernat, Jordi Alba, Paco Alcácer and José Luis Gayá. Fran Villalba is the next one tipped to become a world class player. In 2014, he received a lucrative offer from Liverpool, but the youngster chose to stay in Spain and continue his progress with “Los Che” youth teams. On 15 February 2015, aged only 16, made his senior debut with Valencia B in Segunda División B, in an 1–2 away defeat against Gimnastic de Tarragona. He has appeared for Spain at the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, scored against Bulgaria in the group stage, but “La Rojita” were knocked out at the quarter final stage after failing with penalties against Germany.
