To improve:

– player of a very small frame who doesn’t feel comfortable in contact situations

– better and more powerful shooting skills would be a very nice addition to his game

– aerial duels

Style of play:

– roaming playmaker

– a great mix of progressive passer and carrier

– perfect for possession-based game

fast, agile, dynamic, and mobile player

– likes to play short passes

– midfielder who sees the game differently from most and knows how to create dynamism in the team’s build-up process by using his natural verticality, good vision, and passing ability

– likes to have the ball at his feet and often is an additional passing option

– intelligent player with good positional sense and spatial awareness who finds the space well between the lines

– good ability at first touch/high speed in one-two combinations with his teammates

– very good footwork and dribbling skills in tight spaces

– excellent composure and retention skills under pressure

– possesses futsal-esque close control

– even if his efficiency in the defensive phase is still very much improvable, also due to his physicality, he is tenacious and hardworking when out of possession/pressing

– good indirect set-piece taker

– accurate penalty taker

– operates very comfortably with his right weaker foot

Borys intercepts the ball, dribbles past one opponent, and starts a dangerous attack with a very good pass.
Borys shows his skills under heavy pressure and loses two players with a superb first touch in tight space.

Description:

Karol Borys is a product of the Śląsk Wrocław youth academy. He is one of the leaders of an interesting generation of Polish players born in 2006 which includes, among others Jan Faberski, Krzysztof Kolanko, Mikołaj Tudruj, Filip Wolski, Daniel Mikołajewski, Igor Brzyski, Oskar Tomczyk, Adam Pieniądz, and Mateusz Skoczylas. Karol made his first team debut for Śląsk on 21 May 2022 in a league fixture against Górnik Zabrze – at the age of 15 years, 7 months, and 23 days he became the youngest player in the club’s history, breaking Mirosław Pękala’s record set 45 years earlier.

Quotes:

“When I entered the pitch, I was very excited. There were many fans in the stands and I’m very happy that I could make my debut for Śląsk. I will continue to work to be able to play in the first team permanently. I don’t think I felt any stress getting into the game. Football is a sport that I love very much, and if I do it well, then the stress goes away. Today I did not feel it at all.”
