Description:
Bicho is considered to be the greatest talent, who came out of the Deportivo academy in the last decade. He impressed all the youth coaches and experts during the season 2011/12, in which he exploded netting 37 goals in 32 games at División de Honor Cadetes. He even broke a record at the club scoring at least one goal within the first eleven matchdays in the league, an unseen thing before at this level. Thanks to this a little later he got a chance to debut in the Deportivo B. Before the current season, coach Fernando Vázquez, who had been watching Javier in the previous months, decided to pick him for the pre-season stage with the first team. Bicho presented himself very well and for the season 2013/14 it was decided that he was going to alternate between Deportivo and Fabril. He made his league debut at the age of 17, on the 17th of August in match against Las Palmas, in which he played 4 minutes. A month later, in Copa del Rey match against Cordoba he was selected in Deportivo starting line-up for the first time. He is also a part of the Spain Under-17 squad.
