This gifted and very ambitiuos attacking midfielder has already been hyped up as one of the better players in Bulgaria. He was considered a big talent since he was a kid. He won a lot of prizes for “best young player” in many youth tournaments. He made his senior debut for Levski on 8 April 2012, in a 1–1 league draw against Lokomotiv Sofia at the age of 15 years and 307 days, making him the youngest player ever to have played for the club. His first goal came in a 7–1 win against Etar 1924, on 28 November 2012. Currently he’s getting more sub appearances than starters, but he’s only 17 years old so there’s plenty more to come from him. Many foreign teams from top divisions already tried to lure him, Udinese’s attempt to sign him was rejected by the player as he wanted to continue his development with “The Blues”. For 2013–14 season, Vutov was handed number 10, last worn by former Bulgaria international Hristo Yovov.

“If he continues he will be the youngest international in our history. I believe he will soon be called to a senior national team. I wish him that, because he is not only talented but also disciplined and responsible.”

(Valentine Peshunov – Vutov’s first coach at Lokomotiv Mezdra)
