League summary:

Bulgarian A Group 2013/2014 (ongoing): 15 matches/0 goals (Slavia Sofia)

Velkov is a Slavia Sofia boy, where he has been playing since he’s been a little child. He made his first-team debut on 27th July 2013, at just 16 years 227 days of age, coming on as a substitute for Hristo Yaney in a 0-0 away draw in the league against Cherno More Varna. Despite his age, he is a regular in the “White Avalanche” first team as well as Bulgaria U-21 national team, where he is the youngest player. He is considered to be one of the most talented defenders in Eastern Europe, which did not escape the scouts from the top league, who are regularly coming to see Stefan, although it seems that it would be better for his development for now to stay and play regularly at Slavia.

“There were the scouts of Bayern who followed Velkov. There are four clubs currently interested in the youngster. Two of them have already announced officially their offers.”
