Ligue 1 2013/2014 (ongoing): 5 matches/0 goals (Stade Rennais)
Description:
“Centre d’entraînement Henri-Guérin” – Rennes youth academy is probably one of the best youth academies in western Europe. Many very good players came out from there in the last decade, just to mention a few examples: Yoann Gourcuff, Etienne Didot, Jimmy Briand, Yann M’Vila, Anthony Reveillere or Kevin Theophile-Catherine. Wesley Saïd is the next “Les Rouges et Noirs” boy who is tipped to shine in Ligue 1 in the near future. This spectacular dribbler made his debut at 31 August 2013 in a league fixture against Lille OSC in a goalless draw at “Route de Lorient”. He started in the first eleven and was substituted for Jonathan Pitroipa after 73 minutes. He is also active as a France youth international – he was a member of U-16 and U-17, now he is part of U-19 “Les Bleuets” national team.
Quotes:
“During my career as a youth coach in terms of individual quality, Wesley is the one that impressed me most.”
(Franck Haise – former Saïd coach)
Football Talent Scout potential rating:
