Description:

Michal Helik was added to Ruch Chorzow senior squad just before the preseason in June 2013, but nobody really expected that he will break into the first XI so quickly. He made his professional debut on 15th September 2013 in a league fixture against Jagiellonia Bialystok, in which he played the whole 90 minutes. He quickly became one of the biggest revelations in Polish Ekstraklasa this sason. However, his debut match was a real disaster – Ruch lost to Jagiellonia Bialystok 0-6 and frankly – Michal was one of the worst players on the pitch. But nevertheless, he started to play very well in the next matches, no matter if as a center back or right back and thanks to that he gained the confidence of the manager and so far played in 8 Ekstraklasa games becoming the first team regular and a central figure in defence of “The Blues” from Chorzow.
