Description:
László Bénes joined MŠK Žilina in 2015 from Hungarian Győri ETO FC. He enjoyed his breakthrough year last season and made a huge impression with his performances for Slovakian runners-up. Currently, he is a first team regular and a central figure in midfield, despite his young age. In January 2016, was the only Slovakian player to feature on a list entitled “The 50 greatest youngsters in world football″ by La Gazzetta dello Sport. He has represented Slovakia at various youth levels, including the under-16 and under-18 level. Since November 2014 he is part of the U-19 squad.
Quotes:
“One of Slovakia’s bright hopes for the future, Benes has gained invaluable experience since joining Zilina last year, featuring in the Europa League as Athletic Club stole a tight victory in the first round. A defensive midfielder but able to pick a pass with a sweet left foot and get stuck into a tackle, Benes has a promising future.”
