Description:
Davor Lovren is Dejan’s brother, who is a famous Croatian international, playing his club football at Liverpool. Thanks to that, “The Reds” are paying close attention to the teenager and it is possible that he will join the club from Anfield Road some day. Davor comes from Dinamo Zagreb, where he is one of the leaders of a fantastic generation of players born in 1998. He made his first team debut on 5 May 2016 in a league fixture against NK Lokomotiva. He regularly gets called up to the youth Croatian national team, most recently having played at the 2015 European Under-17 Championship and 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup. At both of these tournaments, the young “Hrvastka” played very well.
Quotes:
“To answer your first question – yes, he is Dejan’s brother, but don’t hold that against him until you’ve seen him play. And you can do that if you watch Dinamo play in the Uefa Youth League. He is also one of the key players in the particularly promising Croatia side (some other names worth remembering are Borna Sosa, Nikola Moro and Josip Brekalo) due to appear at the Under-17 World Cup in Chile which starts this month. He has quick feet, flair in abundance and is very direct, at times reminiscent of Eden Hazard, the star whose style he admires the most.”
